We say all living things are equal. Men and women are equal. But it is very difficult to justify this statement logically. Yet, our ancient Indian thought has a perfect answer to this. Do you know the answer?
Every living thing has a subtle body (sukshma) which is the same, be it a man or woman, a tree or animal, an ant or a bird. We only see the visible (with our false eyes) body of people and other living things and not their subtle body which can't be seen with our eyes but can be seen with the third eye which is locked and can be opened with the awakening of knowledge by the grace of God. The visible body may be different but the subtle body is the same irrespective of the nature of living things. And so, we say all living beings are equal and so do men and women. Then how does each one of us have got a body that is unique? It is because of the Karma (good and bad deeds)that each one us have performed in our previous births that there is difference in the visible body and the character, intelligence, etc. among people and animals. This is the justification offered by our ancestors which is what I have understood from the spiritual books and Indian scholars. I think we can't have a more credible answer than this.
yes a good justification of why we are living in this maya world. but may i know why the concept of idol worshipping began and how do we know thata what i see is a chair and has it been already stored in mind? is it something related with vigarpam sarvigarpam...and what comes first the thought or sound or what is it.....i seemed to have some vague thoughts of our earlier discussions...but i have no clue now...kindly refresh my thoughts on these subject sir...
